Friday date night 10-17-08

After girls night out last weekend we decided that it would be a blast to bring our boys back. So we did. Rylee has a 7 year old boy named Devyn. He is such a cute boy, nice and well mannered; because if not Rylee would rip his head off. haha

Devyn and Daxton

First we road the go karts before it got to late and too cold. There were only three of the karts on the track. Daxton and Devyn were not tall enough to drive so they rode with their mom’s! It was fun. I was looking at Daxton’s face and he kind of looked like he was getting sick but he didn’t say.

Then we went mini golfing. The boys love to golf. Rylee is a fun person to be around because she is always laughing. The boys were running everywhere! There were three couples in front of us that we eventually caught up to. Rylee does this thing when she is in public and she pretends that she is Devyns sister. So she said, “Devyn, I am going to tell mom.” The couples in front of us looked at us and then one of the ladies said, “Oh, these are your brothers?” Rylee was laughing and totally would have gone a long with it but I told her that we were the mom’s then she gave me a disgusted look. It seams like every time you turn your back on your kid, even for two seconds they are doing something inappropriate. I thought it was funny!

because he would hit everything like baseball

Then we played $5 at the arcades. It went a long ways and the boys had fun collecting there tickets to win prizes. All in all we had a blast and the boys played really well together.

Activities 10-11-8

We had a primary activity on Saturday. It was Trevor’s weekend so I begged him to let Daxton come because we were practicing for the program on the 26th. You were told to bring your blanket. We went to the chapel to practice the program and then we went back to the primary room and watched a film about President Hinkley and the North Star. Daxton was way to hyper to just sit there. After that we went to the gym and they had a piƱata. Daxton wanted to know, “whose birthday is it?” The kids lined up by age. Daxton got to nick it. They also made star cookies. Then after the activity I had to take Daxton back to Trevor. It was kind of hard to do that. He was really good about it though.

Then I went to my parents and Corey, KrisAnn and Aubrey were there. We were hungry so we went to Olive Garden. Corey and KrisAnn were so tired. I guess that Aubrey hasn't been sleeping well. She was moved into a big girl bed that now she wont stay in. I feel bad for them because I know what it's like to get up 5 times a night.

Girls night out 10-10-8

I have been busy at work so I am just going to have to load my pictures will little information. On friday we had girls night and my girls from work went. We went to Olive Garden. Rylee decided it would be funny if our thing for the night was to hide our faces like Wilson on Home Improvement. So that explains some of the pictures.

After dinner we drove to Ogden to Toads. We wanted to do go karts. It was so much fun. It was kind of cold but I totally didnt mind.

Oh, and we were gansters...Rylee is hard core!

Then we were done and it was still early so I wouldn't let us part ways yet. So we decided to go to Wal-Mart. I found this cart in the parking lot and everyone jumped in. We got plenty of dirty looks. But I think we were doing them a favior. We found Rylee and Halloween costume to wear to work...pictures to follow in future blogs. haha

Service 10-4-8

On Saturday morning we woke up and went over to my moms. On the way she stopped us and asked us if we wanted to help clean the church. Without hesitation Daxton was right ready to help. My Dad was already there cleaning and so we just pitched in. I found Daxton a hand vaccum and went to town. Well, at one point my mom had to mop the floor in the gym because it was sticky or something. Daxton stopped vaccuming and helped her. The next time I see him his eye is big and red. I asked Daxton what happened to his eye. Daxton replyed, “I was helping grandma with the thing and I was doing this and then it came back at me and banged me in the eye.” Now I have been a janitor since I was really young so I knew exactly what he was talking about. When it came time to squeeze out the mop he pushed the handle to get the water out and when he was done he let go and it sprung back and got him in the eye. Haha I kind of though it was funny. The only thing is I know how bad that hurts when it hit you.

Being that it is conference weekend I invited Corey and KrisAnn down to hang out. We had Casey and Alisa come for dinner also, and RaCinda and Kalie were there. We just ordered pizza for dinner because we were all hungry and didn’t want to wait to eat. Daxton and Aubrey were so happy to see each other. We just hung around the house. We visited with each other and played Guitar Hero. I had a lot of fun.

Photo Time 9-26-8

We took Daxton in to get his pictures taken for the year. I drove up during my lunch. He was good for the first 3 pictures and then he was showing off. It was not a good experience. But that is totally normal for him. My mom told him that if he took good pictures that they would go do a Build a Bear…or dinosaur. He named the dino, Dan-a-sor…creative for a 4 year old.

Decor and a 4 year old 9-23-8

So, it's time to decorate for Halloween. Not because I love the holiday or anything, but because Daxton is a kid and every kid should get to decorate for holidays even if the parents hate it.

I invited my mom to come over and watch us decorate. First I knew that it was going to be difficult for me because I like things my way. And second he is only 4 and creative and likes things his way.

We went to All A Dollar for lunch and picked up some decorations. Not much, just enough to make it fun for Daxton. I got an idea that I wanted to wrap this banner around my door. It would have taken me 5 minutes to do it if I hadn’t had help but I had the help of Daxton.

It was so fun, Daxton was trying to get the banner to hang down all of the stairs, along the walls, basically it was everywhere but around the door. Finally my mom distracted him with taking his picture for two second so that I could get it up. He

was so excited that he just about killed me with his excitement and energy.

What should have taken 5 minutes ended up taking about 20 minutes. But hopefully he will have some fun memories of helping his mom decorate for the holidays!
