Dinner with Gentry 3-19-9

So Gentry invited me to go to dinner with her. I was way excited because she is always busy because she is basically married. Don’t tell her that, she might freak out. Anyways, Daxton was playing with the neighborhood kids so I went to pick him up and he was just crying and making things difficult. I was like oh great, this is going to be so much fun. So I told him that we were going to dinner with Gentry, he was so mad. Then I told him we were going to Olive Garden and he totally freaked out. He was crying and screaming something about his dad. Then he begged me to go to Red Lobster. You have got to love it. So we got him a root beer and he was much better. Gentry and her sister Haylee joined us. Gentry just though that Daxton was so funny, she loves kids but doesn’t have any. So dinner turned out really nice. On our way out Daxton was playing around and he saw some rocks. He jumped on the rocks and said, “Mom take my picture so you can blog it.” He loves to look on our blog with Grandma and she reads it to him. I am so lucky to have such an awesome kid.

Good Times 3-17-9

So we have had some fun times lately but I have not blogged because I am a bad writer. We went to Chuck –E-Cheese on Monday and it was a nightmare. He was so tired and he kept on throwing fits and everyone was like that kid is out of control and that is a bad mom but…what do you do? Then yesterday was a nice day and he spent the day playing with a new kid named William. He is a friend of Mandy’s that she is tending. He had so much fun, he didn’t want to leave. William is into Star Wars so they could be best friends. Then I made him leave so I could spend some time with him. We found Emily down the street playing with her sisters so he was out of there. We played all evening. She is only 3 but they have fun together. He was cute because he would take care of her. She hurt her finger and he went and got her a Band-Aid. Anyways, I love being Daxton’s mom, what an honor. He is my best friend.

Stay home 2-21-9

Daxton did not want to leave the house. It was finally his mom’s day off and we were not doing anything or going anywhere. He was so excited. I tried to talk him into going skiing or outside even. Well, we spent the day inside. We played with every toy he has and watched Star Wars at least 3 times. He also almost ate us out of house and home. He ate from the second that I got out of bed until we went to bed. He usually doesn’t eat much so that was a total shock.

Daxton had these pictures taken at school

At one point in the day he got mad at me for something (maybe because he was really tired since he work up at 6 am for whatever reason). He went into his room and unloaded his closet and put it in front of the door so I couldn’t get it. Well, later that day when we went to put the stuff back in the closet he noticed that I had baby boy clothes that I have bought through the years. There isn’t much, maybe one or two sleepers and a blanket and slippers. He was like, “mom, what are these for.” I answered him that I bought them for if I ever have another kid. Needless to say, now I am going to have a baby and it’s going to be a brother. Daxton is way excited and I have told him about a million times that I am not going to be having a baby for a lot of years. Still his opinion doesn’t change. At lunch today he said, “Lets discus what we are going to name him. I think we should name him Daxton.” Haha Holy crap! So if you hear that I am going to have a baby, it’s just not true. I wish it were but its NOT!

At one point I was able to get him out of the house. We went and played in the snow and on the swing set. We were out there for about 1 hour. I was in shorts, which was nice until the sun went down and then it got a little chilly. We had a good day over all.

Dream 2-12-9

Oh my heck I have to tell you about my dream last night. I hat triplets! Ok, they were little and ugly. So I had these three really little babies and then I had Daxton and for some reason I had Hallie (my cousin Kami's daughter who is 4ish), but she was younger. Well, you can’t explain dreams because they don’t make any sense. I was at the park at the tabernacle in Wellsville with all of these kids and the next thing I know I am bathing Hallie and I put her in and was running the water and all of the other kids needed me so I went to help them and then a few minutes later I heard the water running and so I ran back to the bathroom and Hallie drowned and so I ran to her and she had just fallen asleep (I have a fear of kids drowning so I don’t even leave Daxton un attended and he is 5). Then we went to the market and it was closed and I was so upset because I just wanted some dang penny candy (which I am traumatized because you can buy it anywhere anymore). Shortly after that I woke myself up. I couldn’t take it anymore. haha That was the better of my two dreams. I have been sleeping like crap latley. I am going to blame the drugs and pray that things improve!

Super Bowl 2-1-9

So KrisAnn my sister-in-law went to Las Vegas for the weekend so she asked my mom to watch the babies! My dad was in...well, I am not sure where he was but he was out of town and so my mom had these two babies who wake up all night long so I told her that Daxton and I would take Sienna (3 months) home on Thursday night. Daxton was so excited! She did really good, she didn't even cry she just fussed. No big deal. Daxton went with his dad on Friday night so it was just me and my dad was still gone so I offered to take Sienna again.

Sunday after church I was so tired. I was out late on Saturday night watching the UFC Fights! They were totally awesome. However those poor boys mom's and loved ones. Watching them get the crap beat out of them. Oh man, life changes when you have kids. But for the better! So after church I was watching Sienna again and I got her to sleep but when you laid her down she will wake up. So I held her so she would sleep because she was tired so I laid down with her. Well, we got busted. Not the cutest picture but, oh well!

The football game was really a good game. However I was saddened by the loss of the red team. And due to the big game I got Daxton back early at half time so Trevor didn't miss the game!

Jazz Game 1-27-9

Well, we went to the Jazz game. My mom and dad and Daxton and I. It was fun. Daxton wanted everything but to watch the game. It was hard work but fun. Even though we lost!

December summary 2008

I have done a few fun things in December that I wanted to post. One night we decided that we wanted to go to my friend Rylee’s to see her house so Chelsea and Daxton and I drove to Ogden and Daxton had Chelsea ride in the back with him. He didn’t shut his mouth the entire way. Chelsea who doesn’t have kids just thought that was the funniest thing ever. We had fun that night Daxton got to play with Rylee’s son Devyn and I got to visit with my girls.

My cousin Kyler got his mission call to Guam! I am excited for him and I am thankful for the way he interacts with Daxton and the good example that is set there.
So I went out with the girls! We went to Port O’Call. I was really didn’t want t to go but my girls wanted to go so how could I resist. I had a major panic attach in my closet trying to find something to wear. It was ridiculous but that is just how I am. So we got there early and we spent a lot of time staring and making fun of people. Then we finally got into it a little when people started to come. After so long I started to get a headache from the smell of smoke and I was so done. We didn’t leave until the place closed. I really did have a fun time.

Caden came home from his mission. We got up extra early and had all of the family down. My mom rented an 18 passenger van so that my entire family could all ride together. I thought it was sick and I would have rather drove myself. We didn’t have to wait long at the airport before he got there. My mom was so excited to see him and she screamed at the top of her lungs and jumped up and down. I am not exaggerating. It was kind of funny. When it was finally my turn to hug him I was thinking he is a lot smaller then I remember, I thought he was taller. Haha Daxton was so dang excited to see him that it was ridiculous because he couldn’t get enough attention from him. I felt kind of bad since I knew how much Daxton had missed Caden…he only talked about it for 2 years. We all got in our van and went to Village Inn for breakfast. It took a while since there were a lot of us. Then we went home and opened a few presents from Corey’s family before Daxton had to leave to Idaho with Trevor for Christmas.

I got Daxton back on Christmas day at 2:25 p.m. He was kind of funny acting, which if any of you have been there when he is returned understands what I am talking about. We then opened his presents from me and my mom. He wasn’t too excited; I think he was just done. Then we just spent the rest of the day playing with his toys at my mom’s.

Then we had Caden’s homecoming meeting. He did a good job speaking. He talked for over 30 minutes. Then we had major people over to my mom’s house. All I want to say about that is I am so very glad to have that over.

I had Daxton for New Years Eve and he was so funny. I decided that we were going to try to stay up to bring the New Year in. He was so tired. I felt bad but at the same time I had so much fun. We had RaCinda, Kalie, Abbie and Mandy and Caden over. Right before midnight Daxton got delirious and he was laughing so hard and there is nothing better then that. Then we moved the furniture for the homecoming and we were playing Rock Band and Daxton went to sit down and the couch was moved and he fell right on the floor. When he got up he said, “Hey, who cut the couch off!” It was the perfect way to end a year and start a new one, with laughter.
